Beautiful place for a lovely vacation. The house is perfectly equipped, with plenty of space for a big family. We were two families with 6 kids. We had everything needed for a perfect stay. It also very well organised for a BBQ or for cooking a dinner. The outdoor area is very pastoral, you can have a nice evening sitting on the terrace with a glass of a good local wine, enjoying the green nature, next to the brook. There is a small grocery and bakery in the village 1km away, where you can get milk, butter, baguette and croissant for your perfect french breakfast. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, very nice people, always available to assist with any question / issue.
The property is spacious with lovely grounds. The pool is a great size and safe. The house is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The free use of bikes are a bonus. The outside kitchen came in handy and the fresh eggs are a nice touch. The place is big enough for a family of 10. The location is great, a short walk or ride into the little village which has a small bar, restaurant, pharmacy and couple of bakeries and 1 small supermarket. Sky TV and Netflix went down well with kids. Plenty to do in the Dordogne region. The place is very peaceful and we had a lovely family holiday. Lovely hosts.
Fantastic holiday location! Lots of space for everyone (7 adults, 2 kids and a baby) . A very well designed property with 4 ensuite bathrooms, well equipped spacious kitchen, barbecue, private pool etc. Excellent hosts who keep in the background but are always there when necessary. In short - excellent And we can't wait to go back!
L'accueil, la prévenance et discrétion des hôtes, la propreté, la maison et le domaine magnifique
La piscine est magnifique et nettoyée tous les jours.
Absolument rien a redire.
As a consequence of the COVID-19 public health crisis we have introduced some precautionary measures to reduce the risk of transmission. This involves additional cleaning and sanitising. For full details please tap HERE. Consequently, we have a later check-in time of 5pm on your day of arrival and ask that you depart at 10am on your day of departure. Stay safe.
As recommended by the French authorities, all our linen and towels will be washed at 90C on a full cycle. If you would prefer to bring your own linen, please let us know in advance of your stay.In addition to the usual cleaning cycle we will be giving particular attention to door handles and knobs, light switches, remote controls, bathroom taps, toilets, doors and all hard surfaces, using detergent, bleach and 90% Alcohol as appropriate.Floors are hard surface and will be sterlised. All soft furnishings will be vacuumed and sterilised with 90% alcohol. The swimming pool is chlorinated and we will maintain normal levels of chlorine as recommended, which is sufficient to destroy the virus. However, we will increase testing to every 24 hours and make any adjustment to maintain correct chlorine and pH levels. We provide cleaning materials and in addition we will include an alcohol spray and approved disinfectant so that you can maintain your own hygiene regime. Of course you are welcome to bring any additional cleaning materials you are happy to use. Please, under no circumstances use bleach or other cleaning products on our soft furnishings. Vacuum cleaner bags are replaced between each stay period. Our bags are hypoallergenic and offer some filtration protection. We will wear personal protective equipment while cleaning including face masks, gloves and disposable aprons. How you can help: It’s usual in the French gite system to leave the property clean and tidy ready for the next guests and we ask that you honour that system as it is the way we are able to keep our prices low. During this time we ask that you leave all bedding in place (we will deal with it after you have left) and put towels in the bath even if you havn’t used them (everything needs to be washed). We also offer a Pack&GO option if you are in a hurry on your departure day, for € 110 all you need to do is finish all washing up and we will deal with the rest. We need 48 hours notice before departure to arrange for additional cleaners and payment is by cash or cheque. The Dordogne has a very low number of cases of COVID-19 and remains one of the safest places to be in Europe. The street markets remain open, shops are reopening from May 11 and many restaurants will open in June. Canoeing and horseriding are also opening in May. So it’s perfectly possible to hava a wonderful holiday with a few extra hygiene measures and a bit of physical distancing thrown in.
